Planned release

Steam lists 17 November 2026 as the planned release date. Check the official store page for changes. What this means for you: demo observations are not a promise of full-release balance or mechanics.

Demo version seen

The main menu in our demo run shows 0.19.4e. The official 21 October notes below describe 0.19.4d; that is the version named in those notes.

Official update notes

21 October — Performance patch (0.19.4d). The latest patch notes found in our review include performance improvements, font fixes and small interface updates. What this means for you: if the demo ran poorly before, let Steam finish updating and test again before changing your settings. Read the developer's patch notes.

19 October — Forgotten Powers. The demo update introduced permanent progression and the Troll Rider. What this means for you: according to the developer's progression notes, completed runs award Runes after a defeat as well as a victory, so a lost run still contributes to permanent upgrades. Before the Troll Rider arrives, know where your damage will come from; see the preparation checklist. Read the update announcement.

16 October — Preview changes. The preview notes say the boss wave was moved later in the run. They do not establish its exact current trigger or a universal wave number. What this means for you: use the Troll Rider preparation checklist without assuming a gate trigger. Read the preview changes.
